With a strong belief that mushrooms are the food of the future, the company withstood vagaries posed by nature such as floods and restructured farms across two locations in Goa adopting the vertical farming technology
With hygiene growing conditions and stringent quality control the company soon became the largest mushroom producer in India

Our Commitment to Nature

Our drive to grow the most premium quality mushrooms in India, has also led us to ensure that we show the same commitment to Mother Nature. We have adopted a large number of measures that ensure our business reduces, reuses and recycles as often as possible and implements a sustainable working process at all times.

WASTE TRANSFORMATION

At Dr. Kurade’s, we source a mammoth 20,000 tons of agricultural waste annually from across the country and convert it into fertilized soil to grow premium mushrooms.

WATER REGENERATION

90% of the water used daily to harvest button and exotic mushrooms is treated at our Effluent Treatment Plant which allows us to recycle and reuse most of our water needs at our farms.

REPLANTING

While we constantly increase our growing area, our adaptation of vertical growing has ensured fewer trees are cleared along with replanting new trees around our farms that help us promote a sustainable business culture.

BIO-WASTE TO FERTILIZER

The nutrient rich bio-waste generated during mushroom cultivation is converted into organic fertilizer and offered to Goan farmers across the state to produce more crops with fewer resources.
